The University of Witten Herdecke offers a postgraduate research program leading to the qualification of doctor rerum medicinalium for non-medical practitioners and doctor medicinalium for medical practitioners in the Faculty of Medicine. It also offers a dr. phil. qualification for those interested in non-clinical, aesthetic or philosophical themes through the Faculty of Fundamental Studies.

The entrance requirements are a University masters degree. The content of the work must be related to a therapeutic practice, which may be art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, a complementary therapeutic approach, psychology or a social science or conventional medicine. We work in close co-operation with the doctoral program in Music Therapy at the University of Aalborg, European PhD.

The work may be in German or English languages.
